The image of the American Police Officer has always represented different things to different people. Some see a noble protector, others see a brutish oppressor. Regardless of the observer’s opinion, as an American Police Officer you owe each of them the same duty of care. It makes no difference whether they “Thank you for your service” or flip you the bird and call you a fascist; you are expected to be the adult in the room.
Just how in the hell can we be expected to be cool, calm, and professional at all times, when the citizens we serve have never been more culturally divided, personally defiant, and emotionally unhinged? This course will help you answer that very question.
This course will prepare you to create a solid philosophical foundation upon which to build your own Police Identity.
